Chad Bischoff
Owner, President
Chad started his own business at the bright young age of 18 and has been self-employed ever since. He began with the selling and repair of chainsaws which led to lawn mowers; his experience in the lawn care industry grew from there. In May of 2009, he purchased a small gutter business called Gutters R Us. He kept the name and began growing the business basically from scratch. Today we work all throughout Calhoun County and occasionally farther. Chad started doing snow removal in 1993 and continues to do so today with New Horizon Property Management. This part of the business was also built from the ground up and has continued to grow with hard work and dedication. We also offer lawn mowing and maintenance programs, landscaping, and land care including fertilizations and pesticide applications. His entrepreneurial mindset and knowledge in all the above areas are what has allowed these businesses to grow into what they are today. Chad enjoys time with his family, hunting, and fishing in his spare time.
Stephanie Bischoff
Owner, Property Manager
Stephanie attended Western Michigan University and earned her degree in Marketing, Accounting & General Business. She took a job right after college selling advertising, which is how she met Chad. They married and raised two beautiful children in the great City of Marshall. When at the office, she focuses on the marketing aspects of it. Outside of the office, she uses her realtor license to manage rental properties. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and sweet dogs, traveling, movies and reading.
Phil Hanks
Gutters R Us Manager, Sales
Phil has worked with Chad for many years and came on board at the start of Gutters R Us. He’s been instrumental in the growth and success of the company. Phil’s vast installation knowledge has been put to good use in the last 15+ years as a manager and salesperson. He works hard for all customers, striving to exceed expectations. Phil lives with his wife and children in Marshall and enjoys spending time with them. In his free time, he likes to fish, camp, kayak, and play poker.
Tammy Keller
Accounting Manager
Tammy began working with us in April of 2024. With nearly 4 decades of experience in high level accounting, she’s been a wonderful addition to our office. We’re very excited to utilize her knowledge and skills, which will help us continue to grow our company. Tammy enjoys musicals and comedies, baking and diamond painting, and going to Lake Michigan in the winter to listen to the icy waves crash. She loves office supplies, spending time with her family and dog, and keeping her body moving by going for walks.
Cassandra Christensen
Office Assistant
Cassandra began working with us in February of 2018. She’s a great addition to our office, helping out in many areas to assist customers and team members. Cassandra is a proud aunt and loves time with her family and dog. She also enjoys camping, 4-wheeling, and traveling.
Rylie Bischoff
Strategic Assistant
Rylie has worked in the family business on and off since she was young. Then she went off to Michigan State University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Business and Commercial Real Estate. Rylie started working with us again in February of 2023. She has been a wonderful help in our strategic planning and implementing new software and processes. Rylie enjoys traveling, doing artsy projects, hiking, the beach and spending time with her family, friends, & dogs.
Tonya Hanks
Receptionist, Office Assistant
Tonya joined our office team in February of 2021. She is the friendly face you see when you visit us! Tonya is dependable, hardworking, and a great help in the office. She enjoys spending time with her family, her pets, fishing, and kayaking.
Brandon Clark
Shop Manager
Brandon joined our team in 2021. He’s very dependable, friendly, and works hard to keep our vehicles and equipment running at peak performance! Brandon enjoys spending time with his family and working around the family farm. He stays busy there keeping up the houses, barns, and growing corn & soybeans. He’s also starting up a blacksmithing forge with his son!
Rob Hall
New Horizon Sales
Rob joined our lawn team in September 2020. We appreciate his willingness to work hard and be part of a team at every home or business property he works on. Eventually Rob moved into the sales role and has been doing great work! He’s been very positive and continued to grow and develop wonderful relationships. Rob enjoys traveling, trying out new restaurants, and watching sports.
Christine Phillips
Project Coordinator
Christine joined our team in June of 2023. She‘s worked in the lawn & landscape industry for over a decade. She is excited to move into her new role where she’ll put her wide range of skills to great use! While Christine isn’t a fan of winter, she does like to spend as much time as she can outdoors. She enjoys running, binge watching TV, and spending time with her husband and friends.
Eric Collier
Landscape Field Supervisor
Eric has been with the company since 2014! He’s hardworking and dependable, delivering excellent work for all customers at the highest quality. He’s done great training our newer team members as well. Eric loves to spend time with his family, fish, and hunt! He’s also a big U of M fan (unfortunately).
Mike Sayles
Grounds Maintenance Field Supervisor
Mike has been with the company since 2014. He spent a few years in the field providing great work for all, then spent some time in the office learning the other side of the job doing customer service. Now he‘s back where he loves - the outdoors - as a Field Supervisor. Sayles played softball for many years, has coached the game, & loves his day trips traveling to watch America’s favorite pastime! He also enjoys fishing & floating the river.
Jerry Whitney
Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader
Jerry has been with the company since 2014. He prides himself on doing high quality work for our customers and excels at his attention to detail. Jerry is great at organizing and training our new team members as well. He enjoys kayaking, grilling and watching Indy car races!
Layne Bischoff
Compost Yard Leader
Layne has worked in the family business here and there since he was young. After high school, he began working more full time. Layne has been learning the business, rotating through different divisions and areas, and been excited to learn more! He especially enjoys composting. He has taken classes and attended conferences to increase his knowledge, and loves running our compost yard. Layne also enjoys spending time with his friends, working on cars, and playing monopoly!
