Chad Bischoff
Owner, President
Chad’s entrepreneurial journey began at just 18 years old, and he’s been self-employed ever since. He started by selling and repairing chainsaws, which soon expanded into lawn mowers and a growing expertise in the lawn care industry. In May 2009, he took a leap and purchased a small gutter business—Gutters R Us. Keeping the name, he rebuilt the company from the ground up, transforming it into the thriving business it is today, serving all of Calhoun County and beyond.
Chad’s work ethic didn’t stop there. He began snow removal in 1993 and continues to provide this service through New Horizon Property Management. What started as a small venture has grown into a full-scale operation, offering lawn mowing and maintenance programs, landscaping, and land care services, including fertilization and pesticide applications. His dedication and entrepreneurial mindset have been the driving forces behind the success of these businesses.
When he’s not working, Chad enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.
Stephanie Bischoff
Owner, Property Manager
Stephanie earned her degree in Marketing, Accounting, and General Business from Western Michigan University. After college, she began her career in advertising sales—where she met Chad. The two later married and built a life together, raising their two wonderful children in the great city of Marshall.
At Gutters R Us, Stephanie focuses on marketing efforts, helping to grow and promote the business. Outside the office, she puts her real estate license to use by managing rental properties. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and sweet dogs, traveling, watching movies, and getting lost in a great book!
Phil Hanks
Gutters R Us, Senior Manager
Phil has worked with Chad for many years and came on board at the start of Gutters R Us. His dedication has been invaluable in the company’s growth and success. For over 15 years, Phil has excelled as both a manager and salesperson, always going the extra mile to exceed customer expectations.
A proud resident of Marshall, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and children. In his free time, you’ll find him fishing, camping, kayaking, or playing a hand of poker.
Cassandra Christensen
Accounting Assistant
Cassandra joined our team in February 2018 and has been an invaluable part of our office ever since. She plays a key role in supporting both customers and team members across various areas of the business.
A proud aunt, Cassandra cherishes time with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, 4-wheeling, and traveling to new places.
Tonya Hanks
Office Assistant
Tonya became a valued member of our office team in February of 2021. As the friendly face that greets you when you visit, she is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and always ready to lend a helping hand.
Outside of work, Tonya loves spending time with her family and pets. She also enjoys fishing, kayaking, and making the most of the great outdoors.
Rylie Bischoff
Strategic Assistant
Rylie has been involved in the family business from a young age, helping out whenever she could. She later attended Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Business and Commercial Real Estate. In February 2023, she rejoined our team, bringing fresh ideas and valuable insight to strategic planning, software implementation, and process improvements.
Outside of work, Rylie enjoys traveling, creating artsy projects, hiking, spending time at the beach, and making memories with her family, friends, and dogs.
Brandon Clark
Shop Manager
Brandon became a valued member of our team in 2021. Reliable and hardworking, he plays a key role in keeping our vehicles and equipment in top condition.
When he’s not at work, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family and staying busy on the family farm. From maintaining houses and barns to growing corn and soybeans—and even blacksmithing—he’s always hands-on and dedicated to his craft.
Rob Hall
Sales
Rob joined our lawn team in September of 2020 and quickly proved himself as a hardworking and dependable team player. His commitment to quality service on every property he worked on made a lasting impact. Over time, he transitioned into a sales role, where he has thrived, building strong relationships and bringing a positive attitude to every interaction.
Outside of work, Rob loves to travel, discover new restaurants, and enjoy a good game of sports.
Christine Phillips
Lawn and Landscape Manager
Christine became part of our lawn team in June of 2023, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience in the lawn and landscape industry. Her diverse skill set has been a valuable asset, allowing her to contribute in many ways.
Though she’s not a fan of winter, Christine loves spending as much time outdoors as possible. In her free time, she enjoys running, binge-watching her favorite shows, and spending time with her husband and friends.
Chris Frank
Agronomist Fertilization Manager
Chris, a certified Agronomist with 30 years of experience, recently made the move to Michigan and became part of our team in December. He’s excited to bring his expertise to our fertilization and weed control division and help drive its growth.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys golfing, fishing, and cheering on Detroit teams in any sport, as well as watching football and college basketball.
Eric Collier
Landscape Field Supervisor
Eric has been a dedicated member of our team since 2014! Known for his hard work and reliability, he consistently delivers top-quality service to our customers. He’s also played a key role in training new team members, helping them develop the skills to succeed.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and hunting. And while we appreciate him, we have to admit—he’s a die-hard U of M fan (for better or worse)! 
Mike Sayles
Grounds Maintenance Field Supervisor
Mike has been a valued part of our team since 2014! He started in the field, delivering excellent work before transitioning to the office, where he gained valuable experience in customer service. Now, he’s back where he belongs—outdoors—as a Field Supervisor.
A longtime softball player and coach, Mike has a deep love for the game and enjoys taking day trips to watch America’s favorite pastime. When he’s not at work or the ballpark, you’ll likely find him fishing or floating down the river.
Drew Austin
Grounds Maintenance Field Supervisor
Drew became part of our snow team in December of 2023, and transitioned to grounds maintenance the following spring. For Spring 2025, he’s excited to take on his new role as field supervisor. A true outdoor enthusiast, Drew enjoys spending time in nature, with his family, and with his beloved puppy. Email Drew!

Jerry has been a dedicated member of our team since 2014! Known for his keen attention to detail, he takes great pride in delivering top-quality work for our customers. He also plays a key role in organizing, and training new team members to help them succeed.
In his free time, Jerry enjoys kayaking, firing up the grill, and watching Indy car races!
Layne Bischoff
Compost Yard Leader
Layne has been involved in the family business from a young age, helping out whenever he could. After high school, he took on a full-time role, gaining hands-on experience by rotating through different divisions and learning all aspects of the business.
His interest in composting has led him to take classes and attend conferences to expand his knowledge—something he puts to great use while running our compost yard.
Outside of work, Layne enjoys spending time with friends, working on cars, two-tracking, and playing a competitive game of Monopoly!
